KEPT

KEPT is a series of paintings made from handwritten prayers.
The prayers are gathered through cross installations placed in public, private, and institutional settings. Each is written anonymously and preserved with the writer's consent.
A single prayer is translated onto raw linen at architectural scale and reproduced exactly as written. Every word, spelling, pressure mark, hesitation, ink color, and irregularity is kept. Nothing is corrected.
The handwriting is not a source to be interpreted. It is the surface of the work.
The original handwritten tag is preserved with each painting.
In the Book of Revelation, the prayers of the saints are held in golden bowls, rising like incense. Nothing is lost. On earth, a written prayer is swept away within weeks.
KEPT is made inside that gap.

Current Status
The first body of KEPT paintings is currently in production.
The work is being developed toward an initial public presentation. Select paintings, studies, installation documentation, and project materials are available privately to galleries, curators, museums, and prospective exhibition partners.
Studio visits and private previews are available by appointment in San Diego.
